el dia segundo: August 2nd, 2010

Primero, desayunamos en Nicarao, nos hotel. Muy delicioso: juevos revueltos con queso y un pinto y arroz mixture con peppers. Fried plaintain, tambien.

                    Entonces, fuimos al mercado para vegetables y fruta. I've never seen a more beautiful "Farmers Market." Los colores... muy bonita.

Despues de almuerzo (really gross soup :/ ), we traveled to el Lagartillo. Que bonita pueblo. The people here are very nice and welcoming. I am in my own room, using a stick to make the door shut, with a mosquito net over mi cama, which is so stiff. Hopefully it will straighten out my back, though. I cannot stand or sit for long periods of time lately.

The food is tasty. Can't wait for breakfast.

We begin Spanish instruction tomorrow; I believe mi profesora is Norma and so far she seems like she will help me patiently.

The family I am staying with is one woman, Tina, 2 guests, and one abuela (or it seems as though she could be one), and Jauncito.

Ay! I forgot to bring in my dryer sheets. This net may be ineffetive.

So far there hasn't been much conversation con la familia, pero I don't know how to respond to questions, so I don't ask them. I will learn.

El campo is muy verde- green upon green upon green. And so mountainous! Linda. <3
