And this was before I told her anything. Then I told her about my side aches..
It's my colon.
As Lucy was translating we both said "Bingo" when Flor was pointing to my left side. It was a funny moment So my colon needs to be cleansed. There were some other details that I won't get into and that are somewhat personal but... it's also my intestines, wich is something I already knew. My digestive system sucks without aid of my trusty enzymes and probiotics. So I was given some natural pills (that you can buy in the States so I knew they were legit) that will cleanse my colon. And then... I should be better!
Then came the "treatment" which was basically a massage over the stomach to enforce circulation and digestion. She also massaged the back and as soon as she touched my lower back she asked if I've been having pain there, which I totally have and assumed it was because of my mattress at home and not sleeping correctly. Nope.
It's connected to the pain in my stomach.
As soon as she said that it made so much sense. I could feel my intestines being rubbed through my back. Insane.
Then she massaged my feet a little andnoticed that my right ankle and lower calf were sore. It hurt when she was massaging it and I assumed before it's because I don't drink enough water and the muscle is sensitive. Nope. It's also linked to my stomach. Left side to right side. Reflexology. Amazing.
It's amazing how much I've assumed about my body, and how much is wrong.
I suppose some people may think her treatment is a lot like tarrot card readings... mythical and somewhat a lie based off of what people reveal. But hear this- I am a total skeptic but I believed her.
I may be bad at reading the opposite sex, but women I know. She was genuine.
The last night in El Lagartillo. I'm happy that we're going to Esteli and on to more adventures, but I've just NOW started to be comfortable in this house and it's a shame that we're leaving. i will be excited to leave the mosquito net behind, though :). I just now almost broke it...
We watched two local kids sing and play the guitar and mandolin. It was beautiful, but of course I didn't understand the lyrics. Lucy played guitar and sang as well. She has a very sweet voice, muy buena. Some cool pictures.
Buenas noches, arana. Your return has made me happy. Though I realized last night that you were here all along, just near my bed on the wall, lower than your first spot.
